(Listed in Alphabetical order)
49 Front Street, Rockville Centre NY 11570. Steak House Cuisine.
Chadwick’s American Chop House & Bar is located at 49 Front St. Arthur Gustafson, Chadwick’s owner and Executive Chef has won some impressive awards. He describes Chadwick as a blend of American trends and the classics. They offer Brunch, Sunset, and Dinner menus. Some of my recommended favorites are the Torched Burrata Toast, Thick-Cut Bacon, Filet Mignon Steak, and Sesame-Crusted Ahi Tuna. Leave room for dessert and order a slice of Sticky Toffee Carrot Cake. You can also try the Three-Course Prix Fixe that they serve every day except Saturday from 4 PM to 6 PM.
201 Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre NY 11570. Mexican Cuisine.
Fancy some tacos and a drink? Try Dirty Taco + Tequila at 201 Sunrise Highway. They have quite an assortment of Tacos with beef, chicken, fish, pork, and vegetarian options. If you are not in the mood for Tacos, that is fine, too, as they have other menu offerings like their Grilled Shrimp Quesadillas or Dirty Wings in various sauces like the Buffalo Kimchi sauce. For dessert, be sure to try their Mexi Cannoli, with cinnamon sugar tortilla chips, cannoli cream, and Mexican chocolate. They have quite an assortment of liquor available, so be sure to read through the menu before ordering your drink!
41 S Park Avenue, Rockville Centre NY 11570. Italian Cuisine.
Lenox and Park Italian Bistro are, as its name suggests, a neighborhood Italian Bistro located at 41 S Park Avenue. Enjoy a casual yet sophisticated dining experience inside. Order some Colli Bites for an appetizer. Get yourself a serving of Penne Alla Vodka with their homemade vodka sauce. Finish your meal with some Cannoli for dessert. If you are in the mood for something lighter, try one of the offerings from their Lite Bites Menu. My personal favorites are the Moe’s Mixed Greens and the Spaghetti Squash.
216 Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre NY 11570. Izakaya-Japanese Tavern.
Izakaya is a Japanese tavern meant for drinking and dining. You do not have to travel all the way to Japan for one, though. Located at 216 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre is the Meet Izakaya Bar. It is the perfect place to hang out with your friends and family over delicious food and drinks. They have a varied menu to suit everybody's tastes. My personal recommendations are the Char Siu Ramen, Chicken Breast Yakitori Skewer, and the Karaage Chicken. They have Sapporo brand beers and hot sake for that authentic Japanese Izakaya drinking experience.
5. Press 195
22 North Park Avenue, Rockville Centre NY 11570. Sandwich + Beer + Bar.
Press 195 in 22 North Park is a sandwich, beer, and bar place. Personally, I am a fan of their Chicken Fingers, Creamy Jalapeno Coleslaw, and the Smokers Delight Burger. You should also try one of their Knishes - you have meat or vegetable sandwiched between a potato knish. Do not forget their sandwiches - they have a vast selection of options on their menu.
12 N Park Avenue, Rockville Centre NY 11570. Spanish Cuisine.
Red Rooster House at 12 N Park Ave is a family-owned restaurant specializing in Spanish Cuisine with a Latin-American twist. Try their Ensalada de Arugula Salad or their Pulpo. Their Albondigas en Salsa Verde is also a must-try. Save some room for dessert and order a Crema Catalana, too.
13 N Park Avenue, Rockville Centre NY 11570. Casual American Cuisine.
Snaps American Bistro is a casual neighborhood restaurant located at 13 N Park Ave. Boasting a robust menu and a larger copper-topped bar, there is something for everybody at Snaps. Some of their must-try offerings include the Short Rib Quesadilla, Lobster Knuckle Sandwich, Honey Lavender Roasted Duck, and Foie Gras. If you fancy a drink, they have a great selection of beer, wine, and cocktails.
274 Merrick Road, Rockville Centre NY 11570. Thai Cuisine.
Tum Thai Cuisine may be the last on our list, but it is definitely not the least. This dining spot can be found at 274 Merrick Road. It is definitely a must-try spot if you love Thai food. They serve different menus for lunch and dinner. I am particularly fond of Pad Thai and Spicy Noodle. The noodles pair well with a bowl of Tom Yum Goong soup. If you love rice, you might want to try their Pineapple Fried Rice or the spicy Thai Basil Fried Rice. If you are a spice lover, try their Red and Green Curries!
9. Viaggio
324 Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre NY 11570. Italian-American Cuisine.
Viaggio is an Italian American restaurant located at 324 Sunrise Highway. They have a full menu of starters and main dishes, desserts, and cocktail drinks. Start with their appetizers like Fried Calamari Arrabiata and a bowl of Pasta Fagioli Soup. For your main dish, try their Lobster Tail Fradiavolo Pasta or the Shrimp Risotto. Gluten-free pasta is available for a small additional amount. They even have grilled dishes available, like a slab of Prime Skirt Steak or Baby Lamb Chops. Do not forget a side of Truffle Mashed Potatoes as well as Baked Apple Tart with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream for dessert.
208 Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre NY 11570. Cajun Boil & Fresh Seafood Cuisine.
Get the feel of New Orleans right here at Rockville Centre! Voodoo Crab’s branch in RVC can be found at 208 Sunrise Highway. Definitely try The Boil if you are not allergic to seafood. You can choose among five sauces, or be adventurous and go for the Voodoo Experience. Even the spice level is customizable! For those with seafood allergies, fret not because Voodoo Crab also has chicken, pork, and beef options on their menu. For drinks, they offer cocktails, white wine, red wine, and beer. Go for soda or juice if you are not planning to drink alcohol.
